Not only did they build us a great house which we enjoy living in, but they have remained committed to satisfying the relativeley few problems we have had long after Tropea was no longer required to do so. Scott and I have just contracted to build a Tropea house in the Retreat at Love Creek. I am writing to let you know how pleased we are with Donna Halloran, who assisted uss through the process of selecting both our lot and our home. My husband and I have purchased new homes before, but we have never purchased a lot and then built a house, as we are doing here. So, we have had a lot to think about.

Donna is pleasant, easy to deal with, and always very professional. She gave us the space to make our own decisions and once made, she answered every question quickly (and there were many), helped us understand how things worked with Tropea, and, even after the contract was signed, has continued to check in with us to ensure that everything has been going as planned.

Because of our very positive experience with Donna, we are looking forward to dealing with other Tropea associates as we move through the design and construction phases.

I think the the Post Closing Survey is a very constructive tool for your customers to express their experience with your company; however it could not fully describe our experience from start to finish with our Tropea home. In the past 10 years I have built two other homes with two separate very well known and successful builders in the area and I have to say without any hesitation, that the quality of workmanship, operational procedures and customer service that Tropea provides far exceeds that of your competition, HANDS DOWN!

Our initial contact was with your sales representative Jim Conlin who was just fantastic. Jim was honest and extremely knowledgeable with all the procedures of your company. With our past homes we were limited and restricted when it came to customizing. The wide variety of quality vendors and your incredible design center, led by Andrea Fonash, provided us the opportunity to create our dream home. No matter what the request was the Tropea team was up to the challenge to accommodate. Jim was there to follow up and see that everything was the way it should be. A companies philosophy usually starts from the top down and it is apparent that you have set a very high standard of excellence, not only with your mission for quality construction, but a quality team to carry it out. The sub contractors you used on the home were very good, but what made the final results great, was the supervision by Andy Culley and his assistant Bob Tokarski. Both Andy and Bob were there for us anytime we needed something and were always willing to do whatever it took to satisfy us 100%, during and after move in.

There would be way to many things to list that Andy and his team did that made this such a great experience and a perfect home, but I will try and put their commitment to excellence and quality results into perspective. As I mentioned earlier our previous two homes were built by two separate well known builders that really only had the limited selections of options they offered through their in house showroom. Upon completion of the homes I was handed a punch list consisting of 5 pages from one builder and 12 pages of items from the other builder, which took around 6 months to complete.

We had an estimated 70 custom changes to the Warwick model including structural, flooring, all custom cabinetry lighting and appliances. We also had a full custom exterior with custom colored tinted windows, sofit, gutters, flashing and much more. When we went through the final walk through Andy took a small piece of paper and handed me the items that needed to be corrected on the punch list, the page contained just 3 line items, which were completed within a few weeks. It is apparent that the supervisory position is one many other builders lack and Tropea excels in by employing top site supervisors like Andy Culley. In our mind this is what really separated Tropea from the rest.

This was a second house we decided to purchase and after a quite a long search we found that house at Edge's Mill. My wife fell in love with this house and so we decided to build one. Truth is, we were both quite uneasy and nervous at the very beginning, but I have to say, sales people were very accommodating and helpful. Well, the proof is in the pudding, so anxiously we were awaiting the promised delivery of the house. During the construction of the house I was often at the site to watch the whole process and as the construction proceeded, it became quite apparent to me how good those construction guys are.

The house came at the date promised and there were very few, minor things that were addressed promptly. I really liked John's professional aptitude and his willingness to work with us.

The only words I have to say to Tropea's Builders are - Thank you, you did a good job.

I also meant to tell you that Frank and I are very happy at Edges Mill. This seems to be the best environment and location for us. This house and lawn are much easier to take care and it is easier to get to the train station and community stores. We have had little (comestic) problems and John (project manager) is the greatest. Everything is taken care of in a timely manner. We have been treated kindly and with respect. I don't know if Fred Tropea is advised of what an excellent job John and Jim are doing for him.
